A company was needed to test the functionality. From the beginning of the project, we have chosen the following: ZLMZ, Unigran, Tim-Metiz. But through the war, some of them had to be replaced. In the end, we agreed with the following: ZLMZ, Ducab, Elsewedy. Unfortunately, at the moment, testing at ZLMZ had to be stopped due to a lack of personnel at the enterprise.
In the process of developing new functionality, we solved several problems that affected the speed of the application. The first solution is the transition to a new database (postgreSQL) and also moved the storage of raw data to Cassandra. The second solution is the transition to OAuth 2.0 to facilitate registration and access to the service. Due to these changes, we were able to make the application more convenient, faster and achieve the set KPIs
We produced a batch of devices for testing the new functionality. Production began in July due to problems with access to components due to the war. Unfortunately, after the start of the war, all major carriers such as Fedex, DHL, UPS stopped their activities on the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, we delivered most of the components to Ukraine via Poland with the help of small transport companies, and this increased the delivery time by a month, and in some cases by two. But already at the end of September, we were able to launch a batch of 30 pieces for this project and achieved the goal of manufacturing devices.
We started the process of preparing documents for certification only at the end of January. The reason is that for the European market we developed a more functional device that will not have limitations in the type of communication. At the moment, we have not yet finished this process, but by the end of March, with the help of our Polish partner, we will finish this process.
We started the first tests with customers in mid-October, after the tests began, our customers began to give us their comments and suggestions. In the first month, we fixed bugs that were not noticed during internal testing. After these tests, it was decided to make KOEEBOX MES as a eparate application for the convenience of operators and planners, but the supervisor still had access to this data from the main application.
Occasionally, after a month of testing, one of the clients was already ready to buy a batch of devices for almost all the equipment. As a result, at the end of January, Ducab approved the purchase of 56 devices for its equipment. Elsewedy did not feel the effect of this decision immediately, due to the fact that the operators were sloppy about it, but after the disappointing results, their superiors still found an approach to them and at the moment they have completely transferred one workshop to keeping records in our system.
To enter the international market, we have drawn up a promotion plan. Also, in order to promote properly, we needed to analyze the market and competitors, and we found that there is a Mexican company that has a product very similar to ours, but the price is very high, and they also do not have MES features. We also found several partners (Italy, Poland, UAE, Egypt) and 2 distributors in Poland and Egypt. Thus, we achieved several KPIs .
Currently, we are preparing for several international conferences, improving our solution, preparing content for advertising and also working on obtaining certification.
An experiment scenario was developed for proper testing. For this purpose, we held 4 meetings with them. Center 4.0 KPI DIH also helped with the definition of competitors.
