KPI-Monitor

Energy management system of educational buildings

  • Year:2020
  • Partner:Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

The idea of the project is to create a software and hardware complex for effective energy management and management of related processes. Effective use of energy resources requires a timely and complete analysis of energy flows. In-depth energy analysis requires a lot of personnel time, which leads to an increase in decision-making time and, as a result, an increase in non-productive costs. The software product, in addition to the functions of collecting, accumulating, analyzing information, and managing equipment, will form a full-fledged digital environment of the energy manager. The goal of the project is to reduce energy consumption by creating a modern energy management system that will integrate data from various devices and accounting systems and display information to relevant services in a form convenient for assessment and decision-making. The pilot implementation of the project was carried out at KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi for remote monitoring and management of ITP educational buildings.

In large institutions with a territorially distributed construction fund, on the example of KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi, costs for thermal energy in winter can reach UAH 500,000 per day (2024 data). Operational energy-saving measures can save up to 25% of the total costs.
